Late Shri Karamshibhai K. Makwana was a visionary social reformer and educationist who dedicated his life to empowering children from rural and underserved communities. Inspired by Gandhian philosophy and the principles of "Nai Talim" he began his journey in the early 1950s, working closely with villages in the Saurashtra region.
Under his leadership, the foundation of MAK Academy was established to promote value-based, practical, and community-centric education. His lifelong commitment to social transformation, rural development, and inclusive learning continues to inspire the organisation’s mission today.
A respected leader and education advocate, Shri Lavjibhai Makwana has played a crucial role in expanding the organisation’s educational initiatives across rural Gujarat. His strategic vision and community engagement efforts have strengthened institutional growth, infrastructure development, and stakeholder partnerships.
He continues to guide MAK Academy with a focus on sustainability, quality education, and long-term social impact.
Rutvibhai Makwana represents the new generation of leadership, bringing innovation, modern educational perspectives, and strategic planning to the organisation. He is actively involved in implementing the School Campus Project — 2026, strengthening CSR partnerships, and integrating technology, digital learning, and skill-based education into rural schools.
His work focuses on building scalable and replicable education models for wider social impact.
Babubhai Bhaliya brings extensive grassroots experience in rural community development and education. His deep understanding of village ecosystems supports effective implementation of educational and social programs.
Nishabhen Gohil actively contributes to women’s empowerment, student welfare, and community engagement initiatives. Her work focuses on creating inclusive and supportive learning environments, particularly for girls and underprivileged students.
